Support UA at James Joyce Ramble April 30

Students in need of service hours before the end of the year can earn 4-6 hours next Sunday, April 30 at the James Joyce Ramble in Dedham. Volunteers are needed to help with registration and clean-up and also to staff an Ursuline-sponsored face-painting table at this popular community event. Shifts will be from 8 a.m. to noon, or 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, with overlap available for anyone looking for the additional hours. The annual 10K run starts and finishes at the Endicott Estate in Dedham, drawing over a thousand runners, and includes the USATF Masters 10K Road Race Championship.

Among the Ramble's attractions is the scenery and ambiance of the course, with each of the six miles named for a literary work by James Joyce. Costumed professional actors stationed along the route interpret these works with staged readings. The Ramble includes a popular children's run and a charity walk that raises significant funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Please sign up with Ms. McNally in Campus Ministry or Mrs. Polles in Admissions if you are interested in volunteering.

Senior Parent Brunch Volunteers and Donations

The 2017 Senior Parent Brunch will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 10 a.m. until noon. In the spirit of Serviam, the tradition at Ursuline is for the junior and sophomore parents to host this event for our seniors and their parents. We are still in need of donations from 10th and 11th grade families for beverages and baked goods, as well as parent volunteers to serve and staff the event on Sunday, May 7. Sign up here if you can help. We also need junior students to help on the morning of the brunch.
