Father Peter Stamm from St. Joseph's Parish in Needham delivered the homily, which held up grandparents as living examples of God's unconditional love,  shared here for the greater community to enjoy.

Dear Parents and Friends,

What a beautiful celebration we shared as a community for the Feast of St. Ursula and Grandparent's Day this week!  It was a gift to welcome grandparents into our community of faith and learning. When we are gathered together in Eucharistic prayer as a multi-generational family, we most deeply live the charism of St. Angela and strengthen our relationships with one another and with Christ.

Ursuline Students Fight Homelessness
Five Ursuline students committed their Saturday morning last weekend to making lunches and feeding people around the Boston Common who are experiencing homelessness. Alumna Lexi Schneider '10, who works for Boston Health Care for the Homeless, introduced the girls to the challenges of homelessness and helped the group understand best practices in offering a person a sandwich while still upholding their dignity. The group noticed how very connected many people living on the streets around the Common are; when one woman received a bagged lunch, she pointed out other people she knew could use one. Ms. Force and Ms. McNally thank the students for their openness to this new service program, and thank the teachers who joined us, Ms. Griffiths, Ms. Lake, Ms. Cummins, and Ms. Linthicum.

Ursuline Soccer Teams Raise Money for Breast Cancer Awareness
The UA soccer teams rallied together this year to raise over $4,000 for breast cancer awareness. Not only did they have raffles and a bake sale, but they also raised money by sponsoring each goal scored and holding an UNO's pizza night. Congratulations to the entire team and to coaches John, Chris, and Alicia Forte!
