Q: What is the Fund for Ursuline?

A: The Fund for Ursuline provides Ursuline Academy with its most encompassing fundraising support. Alumnae, parents of current students, parents of alumnae, grandparents, friends, and faculty/staff all partner philanthropically in their ongoing support of the Academy. Their combined gifts touch every aspect of the student experience.

Q: Why is the Fund for Ursuline so important?

• The current students are the direct beneficiaries. Every facet of their Ursuline experience benefits from the Fund for Ursuline, and their Ursuline experience encourages and fosters each of them to discover and develop her own potential in and out of the classroom.
• Annual giving accounts for approximately 8% of the operating budget. In fiscal year ’19 the Fund for Ursuline raised nearly the equivalent of a $1,400 scholarship per student. Without this important philanthropic support, tuition would be higher, and the Ursuline education would be less accessible. A strong annual fund allows the Academy to fulfill St. Angela Merici's dream of educating young women of all circumstances.
• Gifts to the Fund for Ursuline, by their very nature, are put to use immediately and help provide the flexibility to respond to new opportunities and unexpected needs. Such support allows the Academy to carry on the Ursuline vision of providing educational excellence while honoring innovation and exercising flexibility to meet the needs of changing times.
