An independent Catholic school for young women in grades 7-12

Building Features

The nearly 40,000 square-foot two-story facility will stand on the highest point on campus, overlooking the athletic field, current school building, and the Convent. The necessary building permits have been approved by the Town of Dedham; our intent is to begin construction in the spring of 2016. It will feature space for:

  • Academics: Three new classrooms will help to accommodate our growing student population, while a dedicated robotics/innovation space will strengthen our successful robotics program and allow for expansion of our STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) offerings.
  • Athletics, Health, and Wellness: The building will provide essential space for activities that promote health, wellness, and lifelong fitness. A group exercise/weight room will be a boon for physical education classes as well as students who want to work out on their own. Ursuline teams will benefit from indoor practice and competition space, with bleachers to comfortably accommodate parents, fans, and the school community.
  • Meeting Space: A state-of-the-art meeting space for alumnae and parent meetings will be technologically equipped to allow for global and regional educational opportunities.
  • Community Gatherings: A place to gather for any number of reasons—alumnae reunions, community Masses, Grandparents Day—the Athletic and Convocation Center promises to further the sense of community at Ursuline as well as to promote alumnae and students’ sense of excitement, pride, and school spirit.
