Application Process


Applications to all grade levels are due December 14, 2012. Admission decisions will be mailed to applicants on February 4, 2013.  Applications received after the December 14th deadline will be considered should space be available.  The Admissions Committee makes its decisions based on entrance exam scores, the applicant's previous academic record, and recommendations from teachers. Please contact the Admissions Office for application materials or follow the steps below. 

Ursuline Academy offer a simple, sequenced admission process.

Step One: Register for entrance exam.

Students applying to grades seven or eight must register to take the entrance test offered at Ursuline Academy on November 17, 2012 or December 8, 2012.  There is a $30 non-refundable testing fee.  All applicants must pre-register for testing.  Test confirmation will be mailed.

Students applying to grades nine or ten must register to take the Archdiocesan High School Placement Test (HSPT) offered at Catholic high schools in the Boston area, including Ursuline Academy, on November 17, 2012 and December 8, 2012.  There is a $30 non-refundable testing fee. All applicants must pre-register for testing. Test confirmation will be mailed.  Please note, prior to the HPST test date, applicants to grades nine and ten must fill out the Archdiocesan of Boston HPST Student Information Sheet.  The applicant must bring the form on the day of examination. 

Step Two: Sumbit Application for Admission.
Submit the Application for Admission with the $30 non-refundable application fee by December 14, 2012. (Please note: free Adobe Reader X update required to download application, available at www.adobe.com).

Step Three: Submit Release of Records
Sign and send the Release of Records form to your principal or guidance counselor. Records should be submitted directly to the Admissions Office no later than December 14, 2012. 

Step Four: Submit Teacher Evaluations
Applicant must forward the English teacher evaluation and Math teacher evaluation to their current teachers. Teachers should forward the evaluations directly to the Admissions Office by December 14, 2012.
