Imagine the possibilities
Ursuline Academy is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory school for young women in grades 7 – 12. Founded in Boston in 1946, Ursuline Academy moved to the Dedham campus in 1959. Owned and operated by the Ursuline Sisters, a world-wide teaching order, Ursuline Academy is located on a twenty-eight acre campus in Dedham, Massachusetts.
Young women grow in confidence and character in a challenging academic setting. They explore their talents, take risks, and forge endearing friendships. Teachers recognize each student's true potential and inspire her best efforts.
The unique value of an Ursuline Academy education lies in the development of the complete person − her heart, will, and intellect. Strength in all of these areas, we believe, is essential for a fulfilling and balanced life.
Developing the Whole Person
Our educators are dedicated to excellence in academics and challenge students with rigorous course work and high expectations. They nurture students' gifts and inspire them to give their very best in all that they do.
Students are encouraged to explore and develop their talents outside of the classroom. Young women gain confidence and leadership skills through athletics, clubs, and community service. They build the discipline, good habits, and the integrity they need for success in college, their career, and their lives.

Living Our Faith

Our Catholic faith is both a subject of academic study and the source of our values – we study the teachings of Jesus Christ and strive to live according to them. Students bear witness to their beliefs in ways large and small, through community service, and daily acts of kindness towards one another. Through worship at monthly Mass, participation in annual class retreats, peer ministry, and religious studies, students gain a deeper sense of self and grow in their faith.
We recognize the richness of other faiths and welcome students of all religions. We encourage them to grow in their own faith and share their experiences within the Ursuline community.
