The heart of the mission of Ursuline Academy is inspiring young women to reach their full potential. The dedicated faculty and staff at Ursuline work tirelessly to achieve this aim, but they do not work alone. For over 50 years, alumnae, parents and friends of Ursuline have partnered with us in the pursuit of this mission through their generous support of the Academy.
Our students are inspired by their Ursuline experiences, but providing this excellent education comes at a price that tuition alone does not cover. Three major fundraising endeavors supplement the cost of an Ursuline education: the Annual Fund, the Brescia Ball and the Fore the Girls Tournament.
Together, the Annual Fund, Brescia Ball and Fore the Girls Tournament ensure that Ursuline Academy can continue to promote the mission and values of St. Angela Merici and the Ursuline Sisters for future generations of Ursuline girls.
Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is the largest fundraising vehicle of Ursuline Academy and the main source of donations each year. A gift to the Annual Fund touches all aspects of life at Ursuline and allows the purchase of necessities that the Academy needs to open its doors to students each year. The Annual Fund supports the operating budget of the school and can provide:
- lightbulbs for classrooms,
- scripts for the Drama Club,
- newspaper and journal subscriptions for the library,
- tuition assistance for deserving students and more.
Brescia Ball
The Brescia Ball is an annual gala and auction that celebrates the mission of Ursuline Academy and honors members of our community who work tirelessly in its name. Over the past four years, the Brescia Ball has raised over $315,000 to benefit the students of the Academy. These successes have enabled improvement projects throughout the campus, including a renovated locker room and library, as well as interactive whiteboards in each classroom. Members of our community support the Ball by attending or sponsoring the event, donating auction items, purchasing ads in the program book or making a monetary donation.
Fore the Girls Tournament
The Fore the Girls Tournament is a golf outing held each spring with all proceeds used to support Ursuline Athletics. Members of the Ursuline community gather for a day on the golf course, followed by an auction and dinner celebrating the UA athletic program. Supporters of the event participate by playing golf, sponsoring the event, donating an auction item or making a monetary donation.
