Congratulations to the cast and crew of Ursuline Drama's winter play, "All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play" for their accolades at the METG Together Virtual Festival! The play is a comedic take on the stressful process of putting on a bad production of Romeo and Juliet, from disastrous auditions to chaotic rehearsals. "It was really fun to watch young actors parody the very work they were involved in," an METG judge remarked. "The first thing I noticed was the overall picture that you created — a complete backstage world, flooded with purple light and young actors rushing in, each engaged in a character, activity and physicality."
Excellence in Acting: Katherine Ziska '22
Excellence in Scenic Design: Daphne Partridge '22, Meera Raskin '26 (and anyone else that lent a hand!)
Excellence in Costume Design: Claire Dirks '21 (and assistants!)
Ursuline's drama program puts on three performances each year. While they successfully adapted to virtual and socially distanced formats in 2020-2021, they look forward to being able to perform in a more typical fashion in front of real audiences!
