Ursuline Academy seniors Anna Lessard of Sharon and Madelyn Smith of Walpole have been named Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Competition, announced Principal Sue Petrone and Head of School Kate Levesque on October 8. Commended Students are recognized for their exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry. Lessard and Smith earned this distinction by placing among the top 50,000 of the students who sat for the 2020 PSAT/NMSQT nationwide.

"Ursuline is tremendously proud of Anna and Madelyn for their hard work and dedication to their studies," said Principal Petrone.  These students "have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success," commented a spokesperson for the NMSC.

The entire Ursuline community joins in congratulating Anna and Madelyn on earning this academic honor.
