UA Communications

Three Ursuline seniors signed letters of intent to compete in college athletics next year. Nicole Olson, a goalkeeper, signed with the University of Scranton, a Division 3 school in Scranton, PA, to play for its soccer team. Kelly Cheevers will also be playing soccer for Division 1 Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Makenzie Haughey will play lacrosse for Division 2 Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, VT.

Olson, a resident of Stoughton, was co-captain of the soccer team her senior year, and played varsity soccer in grades ten through twelve. Cheevers, of Dedham, also co-captained Ursuline soccer this year, and was a four-year varsity player. She is a member of the track and field team.  Haughey, of Walpole, has been a member of the lacrosse and ski teams at Ursuline.

Ursuline Academy commends these students and their families for the hard work and perseverance that has brought them such success.
