The Ursuline lacrosse teams delivered hundreds of  items to the Dedham Food Pantry this week, collected as part of an Easter food drive organized by head coach Marisol Henderson.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me...Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." -- Matthew 25: 35-40.

Easter Message from President Whiting

"He is risen."

It all comes down to that one fundamental truth, doesn't it? God loved us enough to send us His ONLY son, so that we might be saved. Though Easter comes every year, the hope and gratitude it brings well up in my heart like a spring as we approach Holy Week. No matter what difficulties or hardships we may be enduring, the joy that "He is risen" brings such a sense of renewal. Read more.

Student Security Cards
The first week of students using the new security cards for building entry has gone quite smoothly. There have been some instances of the cards not working properly, so we would like to remind everyone NOT to store your card next to your phone or in a magnetized wallet. Putting any of the RFID credentials (your ID cards) on or around cell phones especially when the phones are charging will lead to potential chip failures. All students have been provided with lanyards to hold the card.

Accepted Students Reception
This week, the Ursuline community welcomed our recently accepted students and their families to our Accepted Students Reception as they are making their decisions about enrolling for next year. Students, faculty, staff and parents all represented our school in the very best light and we have had nothing but positive feedback. It certainly takes a team approach to communicate all the different aspects of our school and we appreciate the effort of all involved. We especially congratulate our students speakers Olivia Wenzel '23, Raceja Velavan '21, Caroline Afonso '20, and Grace Roberto '18 for their spectacular speeches, and thank Ms. Schnatterly and the Communication Arts students for the video they produced.

Choral Group Wins Silver Medal at MICCA

In their second time participating in MICCA - Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association, the UA Choral Group again received a silver medal, indicating excellent performance.  Over 102 choirs participated in the statewide music competition where they were asked to perform three pieces and then adjudicated using a set of rubrics.  Choirs receive comments from the three adjudicators and also a 20 minute clinic following their performance by one of the adjudicators. UA had a very helpful clinic from Dr. Alison Mann, professor of Choral Music education at Kennesaw State University. Congratulations to Mrs. Glancy and our dedicated and talented choral group.
