Life on Lowder Street Winter Dance Tickets The winter semi-formal dance will be held on the UA campus on Saturday, January 26 from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. The dance is open to students in grades 9-12 and each may student bring one guest if they wish. Tickets will be available for purchase through a link emailed to parents this week. Tickets are $15 per person. Stay tuned for more info! We look forward to a fantastic evening! UA Basketball Wins Tournament The Varsity Basketball team traveled to Bellingham High School during the Christmas break to play in the 13th Annual Barry Hutchinson Memorial Tournament. They had victories over Bellingham High on December 27 and Douglas High on December 28 to win the Tournament. Ursuline Seniors Natalie McGrail and Alison Meade were selected for the Tournament All Star team. In addition, Alison Meade was selected the Tournament Most Valuable Player.

Fitness Center closed on Friday. School and College Counseling Junior Parent Meeting on January 9 Our Junior Parent College Planning Meeting will be held on Wed. Jan. 9 at 6:30 p.m. (snow date is Jan. 10). Deb Zatkowski, admission application reader for Boston College and Northeastern University, will talk about the college side of the process and Mrs. Ferrucci will give an overview of the UA process. Spring SAT and ACT Prep Classes Summit will be offering ACT and SAT prep classes at Ursuline in the spring for the April 13, 2019 ACT Exam and the May 4, 2019 SAT Exam. Classes will run from 3-6 p.m. on the following dates: ACT class: Tuesdays, March 5, 12, 19 and 26; April 2 and 9. Just for Fun Seventh Grade Wins Ice Cream Party Seventh grade students were treated to an ice cream party on the Friday prior to Christmas break as their reward for selling the most raffle tickets for the Brescia Ball in November. Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets to support Ursuline Academy! On the Calendar Mme. Houda Roberts' French classes made messages of support to send to the city of Strasbourg where there was a shooting in the days before Christmas. |
