UA Extends its Sympathy to Coaches John and Chris Forte We are sorry to share that John Joseph Forte, Sr., father of UA coaches John and Chris Forte, passed away on April 30. The Forte brothers are well-known to the Ursuline community as the coaches of our varsity and JV soccer teams. Visiting hours are Sunday, May 5, and the funeral is Monday, May 6. Click here to read the obituary. Bears in Action The Green Club and the Science Department participated together in a clean-up of the Charles River Watershed on Saturday, April 27. The team was assigned to Riverdale Park in Dedham, where they bagged trash to beautify the area and keep wildlife safe from consuming the trash. UA Competes in Spanish Spelling Bee Congrats to Amalia Karr '23, Azaliah McFarlane-DeCordova '22, and Sara Wheeler '22 for being the first students from Ursuline to compete in the National Spanish Spelling Bee held last weekend in Foxboro. They practiced weekly for months to prepare, and did very well in the competition, which hosted students from schools throughout Mass. and even out of state. Ursuline Students Volunteer As they have done in years past, a group of Ursuline students volunteered at the James Joyce 10K Ramble in Dedham last Sunday, April 28th, in what was the 37th annual running of that competition. Our students helped with bib pick-up and registration on Saturday before the race. On Sunday morning several students helped record the runners as they crossed over the finish line while others helped guide the runners along the course. The race staff was extremely appreciative and complimentary toward the help from UA!
