The official day off will be on Monday, May 13th. Sophomore students who participate in after-school athletics or drama rehearsals are still expected to be present for those obligations. Great work, Sophomores! Guidance Meeting for All Grade 10 Parents Sophomore parents are reminded to attend the annual guidance department meeting on Wednesday May 29th at 6:30 p.m. for "rising junior" parents. The meeting will give you an overview of the college application process from the "UA side of things," in addition to a presentation by Terry Clark, the author of Demystifying College Admissions. This is Terry's third year speaking at this meeting and she will cover the college process from her experience as a parent of three college-age children. Copies of her book will be available that evening. We hope that at least one parent from each sophomore family will attend this meeting. Please RSVP to Mary Ferrucci at mferrucci@ursulineacademy.net. Thank you to all who donated and participated in this event - a true example of the mission of Serviam. Special shout out to assistant swim coach Kathleen Tetreault for all that she does for the event, which raised over $85,000 dollars to benefit the Perini Quality of Life Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Hospital for Children Cancer Center. Looking forward to 2020. Team Bella Walks for Hunger with UA Friends Ninth grader Bella Matthews rallied fellow UA classmates and UA alumna Shannon Dwyer, along with other family and friends, to support "Team Bella" at last weekend's Walk for Hunger. Since she was inspired to create Bella's Food Drive in 2012 to raise money and collect food to end hunger, Bella has been working with a message simple and clear - that everyone deserves to eat.
