January 10, 2020 From the President and Principal Just back from our Christmas break, this week has been a process of easing once again into the routines of school and work. It also allows us to open ourselves to seeing one another with fresh eyes. As administrators, we never cease to be impressed and inspired by the students who joyfully walk these halls and learn in our classrooms. On one hand, their achievements are impressive, as evidenced by the growing list of fine colleges and universities to which our seniors have been accepted. More importantly, we can take pride in watching them grow to be women of compassion whose actions, both great and small, have a real impact on their friends and communities. You may have seen Natalie Aramayo '21 depicted on the front page of the Dedham Times on Dec. 20. She was profiled by Olivia Ryan '20 for her long-standing efforts to end human trafficking, including a trip to her family's home country of Bolivia. And just this week, members of the Spanish Club partnered with Pulsera, a nonprofit organization that empowers artists in the foothills of Nicaragua through the sale of handmade bracelets, creating sustainable fair trade jobs in a country where few such opportunities exist.
