Bears in Action Ursuline Service Week at Romero Center Ursuline students and faculty spent the week at The Urban Challenge run by Romero Center Ministries in Camden, New Jersey, learning about urban poverty and serving in sites throughout greater Philadelphia: serving meals to homeless persons, working in a food bank, experiencing hunger, and spending time in prayer. The students return with an appreciation for the cycle of poverty and empathy for all of humanity. Sophomores in Quebec City Welcome back to our sophomores, after a fun-filled trip to Quebec City. In addition to dog-sledding and enjoying the city's annual Winter Carnival, the group visited the Ursuline Museum to learn about the history of the Ursuline Sisters. Their final outing (see photo) was a visit to a cabane a sucre, or sugar shack, to learn about maple syrup production, eat an authentic Quebecois meal, and listen to traditional folk music.
