Yard Sale to Support Ukraine This year, we have been working with other Ursuline schools across the country to coordinate a Day of Serviam. Ursuline Academy has planned a campus Yard Sale on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. We invite you to volunteer with us or support us by stopping by to shop! All funds raised will be sent directly to the Ursulines in the Polish Province, which includes Ukraine. Ursuline sisters throughout Eastern Europe are sheltering and caring for refugees at this time and funds raised in Dedham will be put to immediate use. Let's make it a true Ursuline community day of service. Click here to volunteer. |

Employment and Networking Opportunities |
|
| Godspeed, Cindy and Susan It is with bittersweet emotion that we congratulate and extend our very best wishes and gratitude to two retiring members of the Advancement and Alumnae Relations team at Ursuline Academy, Susan Hehir (left) and Cindy Harrington. |
| | |
|
Cindy Harrington P '07, '10, has been our Advancement Services Manager for the past 15 years, skillfully and graciously handling database management, scholarships records, stewardship, and providing event support. Susan Hehir, Director of Alumnae and Parent Relations for the past 6 years, also leaves in June for a well-deserved retirement. Under Susan's leadership, the alumnae program at Ursuline has grown to include networking events, a new athletic Hall of Fame, legacy events, an alumnae speaker series, and many other improvements. Both Cindy and Susan will be greatly missed on campus when they leave Ursuline next month. If you or someone you know might want to consider filling either of these shoes, please let us know! |
Employment Opportunities at Ursuline Academy Ursuline Academy has job openings for the summer and fall and asks your help in finding qualified applicants -- might you know someone or be interested yourself? We are looking to fill the positions of Advancement Services Manager and Director of Alumnae Relations. We are also hiring some teaching positions for September. Ursuline seeks to hire and retain employees who are skilled in their field, involved in the school community, active in their faith, and enthusiastically dedicated to carrying out the mission of the school. Click here for full job descriptions if you are interested. |
Add Ursuline Academy to your LinkedIn Profile We have just made it easier to enhance your personal and professional networking efforts by adding Ursuline to the Education section of your LinkedIn profile. Go to the Education section and add a new school, and select "Ursuline Academy - Dedham" when it pops up. The Ursuline LinkedIn page has an alumnae tab where you can see the other Dedham alumnae on LinkedIn. |
Thank you for your support for our Day of Giving |
All In for Ursuline on March 16 The All In for Ursuline day of giving was held on March 16, and the Ursuline community rose to the occasion in typical Ursuline fashion! If you were one of the 685 donors to support the campaign – THANK YOU! This year's campaign increased participation by almost 40%! Your gift will make a crucial contribution towards meeting the gap between tuition and the cost of providing Ursuline students with a premier education – one that prepares students to meet the challenges before them with compassion and strength – and helps us to keep improving this experience for the next generation of Ursuline students. Together, we raised over $175,000 with participation from 59 alumnae classes, and donors from 22 states. Many donors directed a portion of their gift to the Ukrainian relief efforts of the Ursuline Sisters of the Polish Province, and thanks to those donors, over $2300 went to the Sisters to provide direct relief. |
75th Anniversary - Year of Serviam |
Year of Serviam: How do YOU serve? As part of our 75th Anniversary observance, we are recommitting to the Ursuline value of Serviam throughout our extended community. |
|
|
We invite all alumnae to tell us about the organizations you support in your daily lives, whether it is a food bank, your local place of worship, or another cause. We have already heard from many of you, but we know there are more of you doing great things! Our goal is to serve 75 different organizations by May 14, 2022, which will be celebrated as International Serviam Day by Ursuline schools across the country. Please use this brief form to tell us about organizations with whom you currently volunteer, recently volunteered, or plan to volunteer, wherever they may be. |
