Dear Parents, Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas break full of quiet moments, laughter, joy, and cherished family time. Our students, faculty, and staff have quickly settled back into the school routine this week and it's wonderful to see eager students together again in our halls and classrooms. Students are applying themselves to their final weeks of the second quarter; our winter sports are in full swing and there is great excitement for our hockey team as they prepare to play at Frozen Fenway next Thursday night; theater is in rehearsal for the one-act plays in February; and our counseling team has been busy with seniors who are finalizing applications for the January college admissions deadlines. Next Sunday, January 15th is Ursuline's priority admissions deadline for fall 2023 enrollment, and I ask that you share that information with any prospective students and parents you may know. It's not too late to start the process, but please encourage parents to reach out to schedule a private campus tour or to receive guidance on the admissions process. In addition, re-enrollment for returning students will be coming up next month. As a reminder, if you are applying for tuition assistance for the 2023-24 academic year, please note that the FACTS application deadline is January 15th; parents are required to re-apply for tuition assistance each year. New FACTS applications are also welcome. Please note that this year there are changes to the re-enrollment steps which will be sent in February to all current families from the Business Office. Changes include a new platform for parents to complete the process online and a deposit that will be credited to your FACTS account. If you have any concerns regarding your daughter's re-enrollment, please reach out to me and I am happy to assist. Thank you to you, our parents, who choose Ursuline for your daughters and who keep our mission strong and vibrant! Wishing you many blessings in the New Year! With gratitude, |

DONATIONS REQUESTED: Friends of Boston's Homelessness On January 18, our students will be assembling Housewarming Baskets for Friends of Boston's Homelessness, an organization Ursuline has partnered with for several years. The organization is committed to help homeless individuals by providing dignified housing. We are asking our families to donate items for these house-warming baskets. Items in the gift basket can be any range of basic household goods or toiletries. All items for donation must be new and unused. Some suggested items include: Dish towels, paper towels, sponge, dish soap, set of dishes, set of utensils, coffee mugs, bar of soap, shampoo, toothbrush & toothpaste, floss, razor and shaving cream, lotion, set of sheets, laundry basket, pillow, comforter, laundry detergent, shower curtain and curtain rings, bath towel, toilet paper, bath mat, garbage bags, all purpose cleaners, rubber gloves, bucket and sponge, broom and dustpan. Students can sign up to participate in the service event HERE. Donations may be brought to Campus Ministry by January 18. Thank you for your generosity! |
ATTENDANCE REMINDERS Please notify the school in the morning before 8:00 am by contacting the Attendance Line which can be reached either by emailing attendance@ursulineacademy.net (recommended) or calling (781) 801-1589. Please use the Attendance Line instead of sending a paper dismissal note. This ensures that your absence/attendance information is received immediately and recorded accurately. This is a safety & security matter. Students must sign in or out with the office upon arrival or dismissal from school. The parent/guardian does not need to come into the building unless your daughter is being dismissed from the Nurse's office.26. |

Snacks are donated each month for the faculty and staff kitchenettes across campus. Donations are requested from different grades each month and may be brought to the main office during the first week of the month. Grades 11 and 12 are scheduled to donate for January. Click here to learn more and sign up. |
CORI FORMS We are grateful for our parent and community volunteers who help us throughout the year. If you plan to be a volunteer at Ursuline for ANY events throughout the 2022-2023 school year, you do need to be CORI-checked. Please fill out this FORM, and bring it with a photo ID to the main office or the business office at 112 Lowder Street at least a week prior to volunteering to have it verified. |
