Community Voices: A Message from School & College Counseling |
"The bad news is time flies; but the good news is, you're the pilot." Somehow, we are already two weeks into the new year and nearly at the end of the first semester. While time is certainly flying on Lowder Street, the students are piloting their way through the year with energy and excitement. As you well know, their days are full of schoolwork, the arts, service, athletics, and more. While the pace can sometimes be invigorating, we may have a tendency to forget the stress and pressure this can bring. Since January is Mental Wellness Month, the Office of School and College Counseling is hosting several events to promote wellness and provide strategies to help manage life's stresses. Keep an eye on your email for details to learn more.
January is also the time when counselors are busy helping the seniors wrap up the final details of any last-minute applications due this month, and we are also launching into the start of the process with our eleventh-grade families. To go back to the original analogy, we are happy to watch some students begin to land their planes for the next part of the journey, while others are just beginning to take off. We have an amazing community of young people here, and it is inspiring to be with them on this journey.
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out if we can ever be of service, and we thank you for sharing your daughters with us! Warm regards, |

ATTENDANCE REMINDERS Please notify the school of absences before 8:00 am by contacting the Attendance Line by emailing attendance@ursulineacademy.net (recommended) or calling (781) 801-1589. Please use the Attendance Line instead of sending a paper dismissal note. This ensures that your absence/attendance information is received immediately and recorded accurately. This is a safety & security matter. Students must sign in or out with the office upon arrival or dismissal from school. The parent/guardian does not need to come into the building unless your daughter is being dismissed from the Nurse's office. |
CORI FORMS We are grateful for our parent and community volunteers who help us throughout the year. If you plan to be a volunteer at Ursuline for ANY events throughout the 2022-2023 school year, you do need to be CORI-checked. Please fill out this FORM, and bring it with a photo ID to the main office or the business office at 112 Lowder Street at least a week prior to volunteering to have it verified. |
