Community Voices: A message from Enrollment |

Dear Ursuline Community, Each day I'm grateful to arrive at 85 Lowder Street to be greeted by enthusiastic, engaged students and faculty, and it makes the privilege of sharing our community with prospective families that much more enjoyable. In our work with applicants this year, it's clear that the legacy of St. Angela Merici continues to resonate with families who are seeking a mission-driven Catholic education for their daughters. Over the past 5 weeks, the Admissions Committee has spent considerable time reviewing each applicant, and tomorrow we will invite 135 new students to join our legacy. Many of them are your neighbors or family friends, and we are grateful for your role in bringing them into the Ursuline community! A special thank you to the families who have volunteered their time this weekend to delivering acceptance "surprises" to admitted students. It's always a joyful day, and we invite you to stay connected on social media to share in the excitement. In the coming weeks, we will be welcoming new students to campus for additional visits, and on Wednesday, March 15th we are hosting an Accepted Student & Family Reception from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. If you are interested in volunteering for this special event, please email Abby Johnson at ajohnson@ursulineacademy.net. A note about Re-enrollment The parents and guardians of current students in grades 7-11 should have received information via email this past Monday, February 27th, outlining the re-enrollment process. Please note that this email was sent to the account designated as the primary contact for your daughter. If you did not receive this information, please contact enrollment@ursulineacademy.net. The deadline to reserve your daughter's seat for the 2023-24 academic year is March 13, 2023. Click HERE to review the original letter. We are grateful to partner with you in the education of your daughter, and appreciate the value you have placed on Catholic education. If you have concerns about re-enrollment, please feel free to call me, or email the address above. I find it meaningful that our acceptances coincide this year with the weekend of our senior class retreat. As we enroll one new class, another begins their march towards graduation. It is a milestone that marks the "beginning of the end" of senior year, and there are many celebrations to come for this group of exceptional young women. As our seniors head to retreat this afternoon, I invite each member of our community to join with me in praying for them, for the time they are taking in fellowship with each other, time for reflection and prayer, time to celebrate their individual gifts as well as their collective strengths and the bonds of sisterhood. We pray that they will continue to be inspired by the spirit of St. Angela Merici to be compassionate, selfless citizens of our world. In gratitude, |

| WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP EVENT We look forward to welcoming alumnae back to campus in person and virtually next Friday, March 10th for our Women in Leadership event. This is an Ursuline Academy signature event and tradition in which alumnae come back to campus to share their professional experiences and life paths with our current high school students. The morning begins with a keynote address by Jaime Chase '94, a partner at Cooley LLP, followed by two panel discussion sessions with the other alumnae for students in grades 9-12. The participants will share a bit about their Ursuline experience, what they studied in college and how they arrived at their current position. The diverse professions of the panelists will offer students the opportunity to learn not only about potential careers, but perhaps more importantly, the roads traveled to get there. |
