Cracking the Code of Parenthood: What to Eggspect when You’re Eggspecting

For the next 3 ½ weeks, please proceed with caution when around an AP Psychology student. My classmates and I have recently stepped into a simulation of motherhood. We are each exploring the concept of attachment and caregiving by providing for an egg as if it was a human baby. The purpose of taking care of these “children” is to study the parenting styles and the bond between caregivers and their children… as well as the responsibilities of egg motherhood: protection, monitoring, and transportation. Protection is #1. Make sure you don’t drop your egg baby. Monitoring is #2, you must keep an eye on your baby constantly, just like a parent would with a real baby to ensure its safety. But watch out because around every corner Ursuline teachers acting like members of CPS (Child Protective Services) are watching for signs of neglect. Finally, transportation entails bringing the egg baby with you everywhere you go. Let this be a warning to all underclassmen: motherhood is no joke!
