History of the Tournament

Established in 1992, the annual Fore the Girls Golf Tournament brings parents, alumnae, and supporters in the Ursuline community together, to enjoy a day of golf to benefit our young women athletes.  This annual golf event wouldn’t be successful without the many sponsors who share their philanthropy with us, as well as the committee who work to bring this event together.

Ursuline Academy fields teams in 14 interscholastic sports, and can proudly claim that over 70 percent of Ursuline students play at least one sport, allowing them to compete with grace while they represent their school.  For the past three years (2018, 2019, and 2020) Ursuline Academy was awarded the Boston Globe Singelais Trophy, recognizing UA as the school with the highest winning record in the all-girls Catholic school division.  Read more here.

Ursuline Assistant Athletic Director and Trainer Kim Munsey was recognized for her receiving the "Massachusetts Women in Athletics Distinguished Service Award" for her outstanding efforts in nurturing and guiding female athletes.
A little extra heat didn’t deter our golfers from coming out to play the sport they love in support of Ursuline Academy! Thank you to the golfers and sponsors who made our 29th Annual Golf Tournament possible, and thank you to all who supported our  students’ athletic endeavors!
