Ursuline Academy is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory school for young women in grades 7-12. Founded in 1946, Ursuline Academy in Dedham operates under the sponsorship of the international network of Ursuline Sisters, the oldest religious teaching order devoted to the education of young women.

Admissions

Our Admissions team welcomes families for tours throughout the year, and we sponsor events designed for students to explore our campus, sit in on classes, and to get to know our community. Ours is a holistic approach to knowing each student as we review qualifications for admissions. ACADEMICS

Ursuline Academy offers a rigorous program of study designed to challenge and inspire students, and our faculty encourage their love of learning, reading, and scholarly exploration in the pursuit of truth. Our graduates are fully prepared to study, analyze, and communicate persuasively to meet the challenges of university work.

LIVING THE MISSION

The values of an Ursuline education– a Catholic education– were established centuries ago when Saint Angela Merici dedicated her life to forming a company of young women engaged in bettering their communities. At Ursuline, we challenge our students to live lives of integrity that reflect the principles of Catholic social teaching, and to be Christ to one another in today’s world. We welcome students of all faiths, and support every student on her spiritual journey.

As a graduate of Ursuline Academy, you are part of a community that spans the globe and crosses generations. We encourage you to discover all the ways you can connect with and inspire the next generation of Ursuline women. In Saint Angela's spirit of building community, we welcome you home.

Serve as Class Agent
Ursuline Academy's Class Agents help to build, inform, unify, and motivate classes for a stronger Ursuline by making person-to-person connections -- the basis of a truly connected and engaged community. Our goal is to have 2-3 agents for every class.

Alumnae Choir
Come back to campus for special events with our Choral Group. Join with fellow alumnae and current students in our Alumnae Choir. Contact Choral Director Susan Glancy at sglancy@ursulineacademy.net.

Women in Leadership
Engage and inspire students who are interested in your profession at this signature event each March. Students participate in two individual alumnae presentations, followed by a group networking and Q and A session with all visiting alums.

International Day of Serviam
On the last Saturday in January, Ursuline schools around the world are united in a day of service coordinated to coincide with the Feast of St. Angela. Ursuline organizes several service sites for alumnae volunteers, or you can choose your own.

Alumnae Retreats
Return to campus for reflection and prayer. Our campus ministry team offers Saturday morning half-day retreats for alumnae during Advent and Lent.

Student Retreats
Team up with Campus Ministry to help lead one of our student retreats. Contact Mission Director Mary-Kate Tracy at mktracy@ursulineacademy.net.

Be a Guest Speaker
So many of you are doing wonderful things in your life. Add your name to our growing list of professionals who volunteer to speak to our students in the classroom. Your visit can be in-person or virtual - as your circumstances dictate.
